POSITION HOURS AND DAYS VARY.
2025- 26 SY Certificated Substitute Pay
PER FULL DAY (3.75 hrs): Substitute Teachers: $200/day
PER HALF DAY (3.75 hrs): Substitute Teachers: $100/half day
* Rates are subject to change based on negotiation outcomes.
Provide health services as an ESA School Nurse for the general and special education program. Insure compliance of students immunization. Assemble, organize and maintain records, files and supplies related to the health of special education students. Test and record vision, hearing, height and weight of students. Conduct health related inservice for staff and/or students as needed. Serve and work cooperatively as a multi-disciplinary/IEP team member throughout the district.
Maintain, complete and submit Medicaid paperwork in a timely manner.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Valid Washington State Education Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate.
- Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Washington.
- CPR and First Aid certified, and have capability to administer first aid when needed.
- Current knowledge and skill in administration of medication in accordance with state law.
- Ability to adjust to varied situations, demands, and new health issues.
- Ability to demonstrate safe nursing care, reflecting the philosophy, purpose and standard of current law.
- Ability to demonstrate adequate knowledge of both normal and abnormal anatomy, physiology, psycho/social and disease entities.
- Ability to work under pressure and be entrusted with confidential and sensitive information.
- Work cooperatively with administrators, other school nurses, volunteers, staff members and the community in selected health services activities.
