Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in Key Bank communities. As a Teller, you provide excellent client service in-person by welcoming both new and existing clients to the Bank and assisting them with account transactions and servicing needs, including identifying and resolving client servicing issues. Through conversations with clients, you listen to uncover financial needs and may transition clients to a banker for deeper financial wellness conversations.
Responsibilities- Provide strong client experience, being present with every client and teammate and contributing to their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
- Perform teller functions accurately in an in-person branch setting and balance cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
- Identify and resolve client servicing issues; escalate as needed.
- Listen for opportunities to discuss financial wellness and transition clients to a Banker when appropriate.
- Assist clients in achieving financial goals using available financial wellness tools.
- Attend and participate in in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
- Stay current on product guides, fees, and policies; maintain knowledge of offerings.
- Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned; roles may change with or without notice while complying with all policies.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required).
- Work Experience: Experience in a client service role (required); cash handling experience (required); basic PC skills with Windows-based applications and calculator (required).
- Licenses and
Certifications:
Notary license (preferred). - Skills: Knowledge of client accounts and sound judgment; strong sales and service skills; ability to educate clients on channels (ATM, Online and Telephone Banking); high integrity; strong time management; accurate and secure cash handling; ability to identify financial needs and promote banking products; awareness of fraud prevention; and collaboration with teammates.
- Prolonged standing; frequent use of hands; face-to-face and phone communication; occasional bending and lifting up to 30 lbs; regular reaching and handling.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license as needed.
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18.00 - $23.08 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation may include incentive components such as production, commission, and discretionary incentives. Benefits details are provided by the employer.
