Overview

Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care specialty, Spanaway, Washington. This is a travel, temporary assignment in a school‑based setting serving K–12 students for the 2026–2027 school year.

08/18/2026. Duration: 2026–2027 school year (Weeks). Weekly pay: $2,092–$2,212 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 5x7 Days. Setting:

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct speech‑language pathology services to students in a K–12 school‑based setting.
  • Screen, assess, and diagnose communication disorders; develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Establish and monitor IEP goals; collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals; participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Document services and progress in the district’s charting system; maintain accurate, timely notes and comply with privacy standards.
  • Provide therapy across a caseload up to 60 students; prioritize student safety, equity, and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate referrals, re‑evaluations, and transitions between grade levels; contribute to program planning and service delivery improvements.
Requirements
  • Active Washington State Speech‑Language Pathologist license (WA SLP license) required.
  • ESA certification required.
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) accepted.
  • Ability to provide services in a school‑based, in‑person K–12 setting.
  • Authorization to work in the United States (as applicable).
