Requirements- An Bachelor's Degree in a related field will consider equivalent experience and other education.
- 2+ years of experience in management positions
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation, data analysis, presentations, and communication.
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of healthcare professionals and support staff. Strong decision-making and delegation skills.
- Ensure that residents receive high-quality care that meets their individual needs and preferences
- Develop and implement care plans for each resident based on their health and functional status, as well as their personal goals and preferences
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, including physical and mental health status, and coordinate medical care as needed
- Ensure that residents receive assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as needed
- Administer medications and medical treatments according to physician orders and regulatory requirements
- Respond to residents' needs and concerns promptly and appropriately
- Ensure that residents are treated with respect and dignity at all times
- Plan and coordinate social and recreational activities that promote residents' well-being and quality of life
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on health and wellness topics, as well as available resources and services
- Hire, train, and supervise staff, including caregivers and other support staff
- Ensure that staff members have the necessary skills and training to provide high-quality care to residents
- Develop and implement staffing schedules that ensure adequate coverage and meet residents' needs
- Provide ongoing supervision, training, and feedback to staff members
- Address staff performance issues promptly and appropriately
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect
- Ensure that the home is in compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements, including health and safety standards, record-keeping requirements, and staffing requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to resident care, staff training, and other regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote compliance and minimize risk of regulatory violations
- Coordinate and participate in regulatory inspections and surveys, and respond to findings and recommendations as appropriate
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and update policies and procedures as needed
Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly and effectively with residents, their families, and other health care providers to ensure that residents receive the best possible care and support
- Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, and address their needs and concerns promptly and appropriately
- Work collaboratively with other health care providers, such as physicians, nurses, and therapists, to coordinate and integrate care for residents
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and other meetings to discuss residents' care plans and progress, and to identify and address any issues or concerns
- Advocate for residents' needs and preferences, and ensure that their voices are heard and respected
- Regularly review and assess the quality of care provided in the home, and develop and implement strategies for improvement as needed
- Use data and feedback from residents, families, and staff to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives, and adjust strategies as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and activities at the local, state, and national levels to stay informed about best practices and trends in the industry
