Community Manager

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. They manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management, ensuring compliance with Asset’s policies and procedures, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns.

Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with affordable housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, USDA, etc.).
  • Affordable Housing Accreditation or relevant designations (preferred but not required).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Personnel Management: screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; complete schedules and assignments; address performance issues; promote harmony and quality job performance.
  • Financial Management: achieve highest possible net operating income through cost control, revenue & leasing improvement; develop budgets, forecasts; monitor receipts, reconciliations, and vendor invoices; ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Strategic Leasing Management: develop marketing plan; ensure effective leasing techniques; handle resident complaints; implement resident retention programs; show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
  • Administrative & Maintenance Management: ensure accurate reporting; head emergency team; manage customer service; monitor service request turnaround; maintain property appearance; plan for property resources; supervise maintenance and rehabilitation activities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred, or four‑year experience in the housing industry; or one‑two years related experience.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Required to stand, use hands, reach, talk, hear; walk, sit; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
License/Equipment
  • Require reliable transportation due to emergency on‑call duties.
Salary Range

$80,000.00 per year to $80,000.00 per year
