Job Description:
School Nurse - Health room | Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) | Full Time | Spanaway, WA | School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN-BSN) to serve as a School Nurse for the school year in Spanaway, Washington. This is a full-time, in-person serving students across the district. About the role
* Schedule:
Monday - Friday
* Start Date:
ASAP for the entire 26-27 school year### Responsibilities
* Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
* Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and IHPs
* Maintain accurate health records and documentation
* Communicate with families regarding student health needs
* Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and administrators
* Participate in IEP or 504 plan meetings when appropriate
* Support health education and wellness initiatives
* Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols
* Monitor immunization compliance and conduct health screenings as needed### Qualifications
* Valid Washington State RN license (DOH)
* School Nursing ESA or eligibility required (must have BSN to apply for ESA)
* BSN required
* Fingerprinting and background check required prior to start
* Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or public health preferred### Benefits
