Heavy Equipment Mechanic

• Base Pay $40.00 - $45.00 / Hour
• Employee Type FT Non-Exempt

Monday - Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm, with weekend and on-call availability as needed.

We are seeking an experienced

Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for keeping our mobile equipment and heavy machinery safe, reliable, and operating efficiently in a demanding industrial environment.

• Other diesel-powered and industrial equipment

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts, heavy machinery, manlifts, and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, steering, and other mechanical components.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Weld and fabricate as needed for equipment repairs and modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Work closely with production and maintenance personnel to identify and resolve equipment issues.

• 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment, diesel, or industrial mechanic.
• Experience working on Hyster forklifts, Caterpillar equipment, and/or Genie manlifts is highly desirable.
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs in a production environment.
