Pay for Position
Substitute Teachers: $100 per half day (3.75 hrs)
Full day: $200 per day (3.75 hrs)
Position hours and days vary.
Minimum Qualifications- Valid Washington State ESA certificate as Speech Language Pathologist.
- Successful substitute experience preferred.
- Ability to commit to and be flexible within a full long‑term substitute assignment.
- Follow all plans and instructions provided by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or school.
- Assume responsibility for duties assigned to the regular Speech Language Pathologist.
- Provide diagnosis and therapeutic intervention for articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and voice for students ages 3–21.
- Apply diagnostic instruments appropriate for students.
- Use and support augmentative and alternative communication strategies and devices.
- Write Individual Education Programs (IEP), including social and behavioral language goals, task analysis, and measurable annual goals and objectives.
- Participate as an effective member of the IEP team.
- Collaborate positively with general education and special education staff, parents, and administrators.
- Work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.
Reports to the assigned program administrator and receives lead guidance from the school nurse.
