Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm

Compensation: $22.50 per hour + $1 Shift Differential

Essential Functions
  • Operate a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
  • Operate a lift truck all shift.
  • Perform routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
  • Move controls to drive battery‑powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel‑hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
  • Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Unloader Responsibilities
  • Unload products from inbound carriers.
  • Verify that the product received is identified and counted accurately.
  • Inspect condition of all received product.
  • Move and place product safely and securely in its proper storage location.
Preloader Responsibilities
  • Receive and read preload orders.
  • Fill orders by accurately picking product from storage and staging that product on a spot utilizing stacking guideline.
  • Inspect and load trucks and arrange the products within the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines.
  • Use scanning device and computer as needed to perform tasks.
Truck Loader Responsibilities
  • Inspect trailers before loading products.
  • Count units on preload spot and compare with shipping documents.
  • Move products from the preload spot, and directly from storage when required, into the trailer.
  • Arrange the products within the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines.
  • Properly secure the load for travel.
Position Qualifications
  • Attendance – ability to work required schedule and arrive on time; willingness to work voluntary/mandatory overtime to meet daily workload.
  • Communication – ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally in a courteous and professional manner, and understand and follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Mathematics – perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Language – identify and compare letters and numbers, read and interpret documents such as receivers, invoices, operating instructions and procedure manuals, read and write simple sentences.
  • Diversity Oriented – work effectively with people regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion or job type.
  • Relationship Building – establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co‑workers and management.
  • Productivity – maintain a level of production that meets or exceeds established guidelines; work independently without interruptions.
  • Paperwork – completion: complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately according to established guidelines; properly count, document or scan the number of units as needed.
  • Paperwork – verification: verify paperwork necessary to ensure customer receives correct product; inspect condition of product received and outgoing product to ensure quality.

  • Accountability – accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Accuracy – perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Adaptability – adapt to change in the workplace.
  • Autonomy – work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills & Abilities
  • Education:

    High School Graduate or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Experience:

    Two (2) years related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Basic computer or tablet skills; hand‑held radio.
  • Certificates & Licenses:
    Forklift Certification preferred; valid driver’s license.
