Job Overview

Murphy Painters, Inc., a leading Florida-based painting company specialising in high-quality commercial and residential projects, is seeking a meticulous and insightful Data Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Alabama Fork, Alabama
. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by transforming data into actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction. You will be at the heart of our decision‑making process, supporting our commitment to excellent service and quality craftsmanship through data‑driven strategies. The offered salary for this role is $45 - $55 per hour
, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, interpret, and analyse data related to project costs, labour efficiency, and material usage to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
  • Analyse sales and client data to understand market trends, measure customer satisfaction, and support strategic planning.
  • Provide data‑driven recommendations to optimise pricing strategies, resource allocation, and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to understand their data requirements and provide analytical support.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within our company systems, performing regular data cleansing and validation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A proactive and independent worker who can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with in the construction or trade services industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
