Part Time Patient Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you will welcome patients at the hospital, collect their registration and insurance information, and provide compassionate support throughout the registration process. You will work on computers, answer phones, and handle multiple screens and programs in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

• Set up computers and handle phone calls to intake patient information in a busy setting.
• Work across multiple screens to collect and input details accurately between physician and nurse check‑ins.
• Type quickly, keeping pace with patient conversation, and manage interruptions from clinicians during emergent care.
• Provide compassionate listening and ask follow‑up questions to ease patient anxiety.
• Assist patients on their feet to complete registration and insurance information.
• Handle a wide variety of insurance plans and coverage details, requiring training and quick learning.
• Respond swiftly and anticipate unexpected issues in a dynamic environment.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Confident multitasker, quick study with technology, and able to type and answer phones.
• Comfortable working in a clinical environment and willing to see ill or injured patients.
• Up‑to‑date on all vaccinations, and able to pass a drug test and background check prior to hire.

Hourly wage: $16.00 – $21.10 per hour, based on role, level, location, skills, and experience.
