Spanish Fork Hospital is seeking a motivated Limited Scope Radiology Tech in School to join our Imaging team while completing your education.
This unique opportunity allows you to gain valuable hands-on experience under your Limited Scope license while continuing your journey toward ARRT certification. You'll work alongside experienced imaging professionals, develop your technical skills, and make a meaningful impact on patient care in a supportive learning environment.

What You'll DoAs a Limited Scope Radiology Tech in School, you will:
Perform imaging exams for which you meet Core Exam Specifications and are authorized under your Limited Scope Radiographer license.
Demonstrate competency through successful completion of required skills testing and competency reviews.
Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the imaging experience.
Explain procedures clearly to patients and families to encourage cooperation and reduce anxiety.
Address patient questions and concerns in a professional and caring manner.
Perform radiologic examinations that produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient and caregiver safety.
Follow established imaging protocols, proper positioning techniques, radiation safety practices, and quality standards.
Recognize emergent patient situations and respond appropriately.
Accurately complete all required documentation, including image storage and time-sensitive records.
Communicate relevant patient information to caregivers and providers to support coordinated patient care.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities, particularly those related to new equipment, technology, and imaging procedures.

Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in and actively progressing through an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist (PRT) / Limited Scope Operator in the state of practice or ARRT Board Registry Eligible per state requirements
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers Demonstrated competency in at least one of the following areas:
Chest, Extremities, Spine, Skull, Podiatry or Bone Densitometry (DEXA)

Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
