Bindery Operators - Managers

North Star Printing is looking to immediately fill trade bindery operator & manager positions.

Pay depending on experience.

• Operate or manage bindery equipment.
• Diagnose and trouble shoot equipment by early detection and sound of machine while in operation.
• Read and accurately follow job instructions for each job ticket.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean, neat, and organized.
• Perform routine maintenance on the equipment.
• Review quality of product as produced.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.
• Ability to operate computer to create packing labels.
• Ability to easily transition from one task to the next.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all employees, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to transition from one task to the next.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Team player mindset with demonstrated ability to work with others to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Self-starter requiring little direction.
• Punctual / Great attendance.
• Able to use a pallet jack.

• Education and Experience:
• 3+ years of bindery operator or manager experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Physically capable of bending, twisting, kneeling, and standing/walking on cement floor.
• Must be able to lift 50 - 70 pounds, on occasion.

• Supervise bindery team members.
• Review and approve time off requests.
• Complete and administer performance evaluations.
• Train new hires in these roles as needed.
