Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

• Assess:
  Performs assessment of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills. Seeks and evaluates information from interdisciplinary team members.
• Plan:
  Uses assessment information to collaborate on individualized plan of care. Involves patient, family, team, and physician; develops education; plans for follow‑up.
• Implement:
  Directs interdisciplinary care team, delegates, coordinates and collaborates as appropriate; provides or delegates care consistent with plan.

• At least one year of OR RN experience

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of employment.
• Licensed RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• BSN required as of 4/27/2025. Prior hires remain under earlier requirements.

• See, read, and assess patient information and equipment.
• Verbal communication with patients and staff during emergencies.
• Manual dexterity for complex equipment and computer use.
• Lift and transfer patients, bend and carry supplies, including heavy items.
• Walk and escort patients, maneuver gurneys and equipment in busy rooms.
• Stand stationary for prolonged periods.

Intermountain Health Spanish Fork Hospital, Spanish Fork, Utah

Hourly rate: $34.53–$52.25. Rate dependent on experience.
