Senior Maintenance Technician

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating, managing recycled materials and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen.

Typical Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Salary: 90k - 120k D.O.E. wages & benefits

• Installing wiring for new and existing equipment, including pulling wire, installing breakers, and connecting to equipment.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
• Installing ducting for paper bale system.
• Maintaining paper bale system to ensure proper bales are made.
• Manage recycled materials throughout the facility, including loading the recycle trailer.
• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage.
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Painting the building or equipment when old paint has become faded or chipped.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Maintains a positive attitude.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity.
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment.
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
• Groundskeeping ability to handle lawn and sprinkler maintenance.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
• Operate a forklift and scissor lift.
• Basic math skills are essential.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Punctual / Great attendance.
• Ability to easily transition from one task to the next.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees in a pleasant manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on maintenance tasks, including standing most of the shift.
• Team player mindset with demonstrated ability to work with others to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing / industrial maintenance experience.
• 3 years of electrical experience.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Physically capable of bending, kneeling, and standing / walking on cement floor.

• Supervise Maintenance team members.
• Review and approve time off requests.
• Complete and administer performance evaluations.
• Train new hires in their roles as needed.
