Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Service engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems on cars, trucks, and heavy machinery.
- Preventive Care: Perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and routine tune‑ups.
- Manual Labor: Assist with digging trenches, loading and unloading materials, and general site upkeep.
- Shop Upkeep: Clean tools, maintain a safe workspace, and organize inventory or replacement parts.
- Heavy Operations: Operate department trucks, forklifts, or seasonal gear like snowplows when needed.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Basic mechanical knowledge or 1 to 3 years of hands‑on trade experience.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy parts, stand for long hours, and work in various weather conditions.
- Safety & Tools: Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment while following safety rules.
