Truck Driver
Operate truck and sidedump trailer or other trailers moving material to and from jobs
Mostly local work but some jobs can come up out of town
ResponsibilitiesBefore starting a shift, drivers are to check the general conditions of the truck, fill out the daily operator's inspection report,(daily inspection)
Keep truck clean , drivers are to clean the truck windows, sweep or blow cabs clean, and empty trash
Keep record of any miscellaneous repairs, fuel, oil, and lubricants used on logs
Drive trucks in a safe and efficient manner, always being respectful of other drivers and vehicles
Driver is responsible for all documentation on board the truck, ensuring it is current and in order. This includes licensing, inspections, permits, placards, and any other documentation (i.e., GVW decals, USDOT numbers, etc.)
Turn in completed time cards, packing slips, invoices, receipts, and haul sheets with necessary documentation to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager to account for costs
Ensure the legal weights on their truck
QualificationsClass a cdl
Current Medical card
Tanker prefered
Hazmat a plus
