As a Word Processor II, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Information Management Communication Services Program at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
You will play a crucial role in providing technical writing skills to draft, revise, or write materials and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of IT systems and other equipment. Selected candidate will provide on-site support at our Fort Rucker, AL facility.
- Provide clerical support to the program with technical writing skills to draft, revise, or write materials which include standardization for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, and related technical and administrative publications.
- Collaborate with peers and our government customer to ensure mission success.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Army
365, SharePoint, Microsoft Visio and Adobe Acrobat.

Clearance: Active Secret security clearance required.
Education: High School Diploma/GED.
Experience: 1+ years of related experience.
TechnicalSkills:
- Knowledge of digital preparation using Army
365 typing, duplication and distribution of material. - Computer literacy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Experience with Army
365 products (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) as well as Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project; knowledge of relevant regulations such as AR 25-50, AR 25-400-2 and industry standards.
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $15.33 - $20.73. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
