ASC Site Manager

Reports to:

After School Care Coordinator

Primary Responsibility:
Overall operation of the After School Care Site

Major Responsibilities:
Planning and implementing an effective, child-centered program

  • Serve as Site Manager a minimum of two days each week, preferably Mon. and Fri.
  • Assign a designee to fulfill site manager duties when not on campus.
  • Follow all ASC procedures as stated in Parent and Staff Handbooks.
  • Ensure that all injuries and any disciplinary measures taken are reported.
  • Maintain Universal Medical Assistance (UMA) training and ensure a UMA trained person is on site at all times based on medical needs.
  • Complete medication logging and emergency first aid procedures, when necessary.
  • Be prepared to administer first aid and reach out to the ASC Nurse when injuries occur.
  • Assign staff based on student population, at least 1 worker to 15 students.
  • Plan regularly scheduled activities that include academically related activities and outside time to meet compliance guidelines provided through the Child Nutrition Program.
  • Post attendance in designated ASC software.
  • Submit attendance by Monday of the next week for the previous week.
  • Prepare and submit reports in a timely fashion: both weekly and monthly.
  • Ensure that workers have approved their timecards weekly.
  • Maintain and be familiar with all student records.
  • Prepare a weekly work schedule and communicate it with staff and the ASC offices.
  • Conduct staff meetings to train at the beginning of the year and through the year as needed.
  • Develop an effective working relationship with school Principal or their designee.
  • Establish a safe, orderly place for parent check out. Ensure no high school workers are stationed at the check-out area.
  • Conduct a yearly safety plan audit with the school principal or designee and conduct monthly safety drills.
  • Print Balance Aging Report and accounts for unpaid balances. Contact/remind parents if balance is unpaid.
  • Alert parents in writing prior to all scheduled holidays and of any unscheduled closings.
  • Secure ASC workers as needed for your student population.
  • Coordinate use of school classrooms, cafeteria, gym, etc. with the school principal.
  • Ensure that all facilities/equipment are effectively clean and secure at the end of the day.
  • Request a purchase order from ASC Office for classroom materials and equipment for student activities.
  • Leave Education/Enrichment form for Cafeteria Manager on last working day of month.
  • Complete CNP After school Snack Counts Form daily and leave for Cafeteria Manager.
