Position: AH64E Instructor pilot-EN

Job Title: Rated Crew Member (AH64E Instructor Pilot)

Summary

Responsible for monitoring the aircraft systems, diagnosing and eliminating problems, and ensuring all maintenance faults are recorded and corrected. Duties performed day and night under VMC and IMC.

Supports Army Advanced Helicopter Flight Training program at Fort Rucker, Alabama, serving U.S. Army and multinational students.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Monitor aircraft systems and diagnose and eliminate any problems that may arise.
  • Ensure all maintenance faults are recorded and properly corrected.
  • Conduct pre‑flight and in‑flight briefings, and post‑flight After Action Reviews.
  • Conduct logbook write‑ups and maintenance as required.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
  • Prior designation as an AH64E Instructor Pilot.
  • Minimum 5 years of crew member experience.
  • Operational military experience in the AH64E aircraft.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work overtime, any shift, or any day of the week.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Able to maintain a current FAA third‑class Medical Certificate or, for National Guard or Reserves members, an Army 2992 FFD.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex aviation words and technical documents/diagrams.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts, percentages, and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and interpret students’ requirements from communication.

Security Responsibilities
  • Maintain DoD Personal Security Clearance.
  • Comply with company security and data protection policies.
Work Environment
  • Regular office environment with personal computer, telephone, fax.
  • Possible exposure to electrical shock, high‑pressure hydraulics, extreme heat, airborne particles, loud noises.
Physical Demands
  • Domestic travel required.
  • Must walk, climb stairs/ladder into simulator or airplane cockpit.
  • Must stoop, bend, crawl on or under training devices.
  • Detect odors, noises, bangs, other sounds to detect problems.
  • Must distinguish colors.
