Job Title: Rated Crew Member (AH64E Instructor Pilot)
SummaryResponsible for monitoring the aircraft systems, diagnosing and eliminating problems, and ensuring all maintenance faults are recorded and corrected. Duties performed day and night under VMC and IMC.
Supports Army Advanced Helicopter Flight Training program at Fort Rucker, Alabama, serving U.S. Army and multinational students.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Monitor aircraft systems and diagnose and eliminate any problems that may arise.
- Ensure all maintenance faults are recorded and properly corrected.
- Conduct pre‑flight and in‑flight briefings, and post‑flight After Action Reviews.
- Conduct logbook write‑ups and maintenance as required.
- Prior designation as an AH64E Instructor Pilot.
- Minimum 5 years of crew member experience.
- Operational military experience in the AH64E aircraft.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work overtime, any shift, or any day of the week.
Able to maintain a current FAA third‑class Medical Certificate or, for National Guard or Reserves members, an Army 2992 FFD.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex aviation words and technical documents/diagrams.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts, percentages, and interpret graphs.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and interpret students’ requirements from communication.
Security Responsibilities- Maintain DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- Comply with company security and data protection policies.
- Regular office environment with personal computer, telephone, fax.
- Possible exposure to electrical shock, high‑pressure hydraulics, extreme heat, airborne particles, loud noises.
- Domestic travel required.
- Must walk, climb stairs/ladder into simulator or airplane cockpit.
- Must stoop, bend, crawl on or under training devices.
- Detect odors, noises, bangs, other sounds to detect problems.
- Must distinguish colors.
