Data Center Construction Manager

AWS Infrastructure Services leads the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You will join a diverse team of engineers and specialists to deliver the highest standards of safety, security, and cost‑effective capacity for our customers.

• Directly interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids and proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects to increase data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Lead teams to troubleshoot and perform root‑cause failure analysis of equipment failures.
• Act as a leader within the group and with internal and external teams supporting the data center.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of critical data center equipment, engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
• Experience interpreting construction specifications and drawings across all domains.
• Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.
