Pay Rate: $55/hour + Overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate.

Position Summary:We are seeking experienced Safety Specialists to support large-scale data center construction projects in Los Lunas, NM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-residential construction safety and a passion for promoting a proactive, incident-free work environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, supporting project leadership, conducting site inspections, facilitating incident investigations, and helping maintain a strong safety culture throughout all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and support an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) on site.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments during shift operations.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Develop and maintain project safety plans and documentation.
- Support field teams and project leadership with safety-related guidance and training.
- Monitor work activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and safety observations.
- Participate in safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks.
Experience
- 3+ years of large-scale non-residential construction safety experience.
- Experience on commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects preferred.
- Manufacturing, residential, and roadway/highway safety experience alone will not be considered.
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification (Required).
- Minimum one active BCSP Certification (Required).
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI standards is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and carrying equipment.
- Occasional work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Exposure to varying weather and construction site conditions.
