Champagne Family Dentistry Sparks is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Dental Assistant with a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. Skilled in chairside assistance, sterilization procedures, dental radiography, and patient education. Experienced in maintaining efficient workflow, supporting dentists during a variety of procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience for every patient. Proficient in dental software, scheduling, and record management.

Job Summary

A Dental Assistant supports dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality oral care to patients. They perform a mix of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the dental office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Assist the dentist during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings
  • Take and develop dental X-rays
  • Record patient medical histories and treatment information
  • Provide patients with pre‑ and post‑operative instructions
  • Manage patient appointments, billing, and recordkeeping
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials
  • Support patient comfort and address any concerns during visits
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency with dental software and office systems
  • Certification in radiography and CPR (as required by state regulations)
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
  • On‑the‑job training or prior experience in a dental office is an advantage
