Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation to the mission critical industry, is seeking a veteran Mechanical Commissioning Superintendent to lead the testing and integration of complex HVAC and cooling systems within mission‑critical data center environments. You will be responsible for ensuring that high‑density cooling infrastructure—from chilled water plants to liquid cooling systems—is validated, optimized, and ready for 100% uptime.
Key Responsibilities- Commissioning Leadership & Lifecycle oversight (L1–L5) for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Low‑Voltage systems.
- Direct functional performance testing and integrated systems testing for HVAC, chilled water, liquid cooling, chillers, towers, pumps, AHUs, UPS, switch gear, PDU/RPP, EPMS/BMS, and related low‑voltage (fire alarm, security, controls) equipment.
- Validate Building Management System sequences, alarm notifications, and low‑voltage control logic.
- Analyze P&IDs, sequences, mechanical/low‑voltage specifications, and design drawings to identify potential failure points before site mobilization.
- Manage punch lists, resolve deficiencies with contractors, perform re‑testing, and maintain rigorous tracking and reporting.
- Author and execute detailed commissioning scripts and final reports, enforce NFPA 70E and OSHA standards, and coordinate with vendors.
- Maintain project schedule, liaise between client, MEP contractors, equipment vendors, and resolve technical roadblocks.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical or electrical commissioning or construction management.
- Direct experience in Data Center construction or commissioning mandatory.
- Proven track record on Data Center or similar mission‑critical facilities.
- Deep technical knowledge of chilled water, DX, evaporative cooling, piping, low‑voltage fire alarms, security, and controls systems.
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout, and NFPA 70E.
- Ability to coordinate script execution with Commissioning Authority and vendors.
- Certification from ACG, NEBB, or BCxA (CCP); OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Safety certification.
- Experience with Liquid Cooling or Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx) and high‑density environments.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, CxAlloy, Procore commissioning software.
- Strong leadership, boots‑on‑the‑ground approach, and excellent communication skills to translate technical issues for non‑technical stakeholders.
- 5x10 schedule (last 10 hours overtime)
- 7 days per week per‑diem
