Manufacturing Engineering Technician

What to Expect

Tesla Automation is seeking Manufacturing Engineering Technicians to support the installation, alignment, commissioning, and production ramp-up of advanced manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team to deliver high-performance automation systems that enable world-leading vehicle production across multiple sites.

What You'll Do

* Lead end-to-end equipment setup and commissioning including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic integration, rigging, alignment, power-on sequencing, I/O verification, functional testing, and qualification

* Execute equipment upgrades, retrofits, and modifications in partnership with engineering and production teams to improve machine performance and reliability

* Apply structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis using 5-why, fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to resolve equipment and process issues and implement effective CAPA

* Collaborate with engineering, production, and design teams to align project goals, resolve issues, and ensure consistent execution across the manufacturing lifecycle

* Enforce safety and EHS compliance by following protocols, supporting safety buyoffs, and maintaining a hazard-free work environment

What You'll Bring

* 4 or more years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic technology, or equivalent experience

* Experience installing and maintaining manufacturing equipment

* Experience assembling equipment from mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and specifications

* Proficiency in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions

* Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills

* Commitment to safety protocols and EHS compliance in a manufacturing environment
