Engineering Technician
We are hiring an Engineering Technician to support hands-on prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting in a research and development environment. The right fit enjoys working with tools, solving technical problems, and supporting engineers on early-stage product development. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow their technical skills and work closely with an experienced engineering team.
This company develops advanced technology used in semiconductor manufacturing. The Sparks lab focuses on research and development work that supports new product testing and performance improvement. The environment is collaborative, safety focused, and hands on, with a steady workload and exposure to mechanical, electrical, and test equipment. This position is fully onsite.
You will gain experience in a true research and development setting and build technical skills that support long term career growth. You will work directly with engineers, learn new tools and testing methods, and play a key role in building and troubleshooting prototypes that impact product performance. This is an opportunity to develop hands on engineering abilities while supporting meaningful and interesting work.
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire
Engineering Technician Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and calibrate prototypes for engineering projects
- Assist engineers with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Set up test stations and run test procedure
- Operate development, diagnostic, and manufacturing equipment
- Collect test data and complete basic quality checks for engineering review
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5:00pm
Pay: $27-31/hr (based on experience)
Engineering Technician Qualifications:
- A.A. in engineering or 4 years of hands on technical experience
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics and work confidently with hand tools
- Comfortable operating test and diagnostic equipment
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
