Job Summary:
Performs diagnostic mammography/Dexa/ X-ray procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram. Participates in CQI activities
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards and extraneous radiation to patients
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure
- Thorough understanding of breast anatomy
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors

Qualifications High school graduate; BS degree preferred. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) in radiography and certified/board eligible in mammography. Certified in the State of Nevada to practice and administer radiation. One-year mammography experience preferred. Current BLS certification.
