Donor Center Technician

• Conduct pre-donation medical screening
• Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
• Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up
• Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
• Ensure all donor screening information is complete
• Ensure donor confidentiality
• Perform work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32 degrees F in the plasma freezer
• Perform a wide range of complex tasks under variable demands and changing conditions

• High School diploma or GED
• Superior customer service standards
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas
• Ability to perform precise, coordinated finger, hand and wrist movements
• Hearing acuity essential
• Color perception/discrimination
• Near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and in the other eye to 20/100
• Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work sitting or standing for the entire shift, bend, twist the neck and waist, and perform frequent hand and foot movements
• Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups

Demonstrates expertise in conducting pre-donation medical screenings and assessing donor suitability while ensuring donor confidentiality and compliance with health standards. Possesses strong customer service skills and the ability to perform complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
