This Sterile Processing Tech opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient afternoon/evening schedule.

We are searching for a Sterile Processing Tech. You will be responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of Instrumentation, supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established infection control practices. Initiates case carts for Surgical Services. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties.

Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.

• Responsible for reprocessing cycle of instrument management: including decontamination, assembly, preparation and packaging for sterilization, sterilization, and storage.
• Responsible for inspection and correct assembly of surgical instruments including correct selection of packaging, integrators and BI’s.
• Responsible for correct sterilization/high level disinfection of instruments including correct selection of sterilization or high level disinfection method.
• Responsible for correct care of instruments after sterilization/high level disinfection including interpretation of results and storage of instruments
