Description

For more than two decades, Roundabout Catering & Party Rentals has set the standard for unforgettable celebrations across the Reno-Tahoe region — from custom weddings to corporate events and social gatherings. We believe exceptional events are built on quality; from the food we prepare, to the service we provide, and the details we execute. As our Catering Sales and Event Manager, you'll help bring that promise to life across our portfolio.

You'll join a close-knit, detail-obsessed team with deep local roots and a reputation — built over 20 years — for responsiveness, flexibility, and genuine hospitality.

What It Is

Roundabout Catering is looking for a Catering Sales and Event Manager to manage day-to-day catering sales and event operations in the Sparks, NV area, reporting to our Director of Sales & Catering. This is a key management role for someone with a passion for hospitality, a sharp eye for detail, and the leadership skills to turn a signed contract into a flawlessly executed event.

You’ll own the full lifecycle of catered events from the first client conversation through menu planning, contracts, staffing, and day-of execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Respond to incoming catering and banquet inquiries and build Catering BEOs for proposals and confirmed events.
  • Plan events end-to-end: site inspections, contracts, budgets, staffing, timelines, rental orders, beverage requisitions, and floor plans.
  • Manage events on-site, including staff, vendors, and front-and-back-of-house execution.
  • Partner with our culinary team on menu creation.
  • Build lasting client relationships that drive repeat business and revenue growth.
  • Manage banquet billing, client files, and vendor relationships.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings and cross-department planning meetings.
  • Use Caterease and Microsoft Office to manage events, records, and budgets.
What You Bring

  • Two or more years of experience in catering operations.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proven leadership ability and comfort managing in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  • Budgeting and financial-reporting proficiency; strong Excel and Word skills.
  • A professional presence and a genuine commitment to hospitality and guest experience.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Dental Insurance
