Work Schedule: Typically, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed based on business.
The Human Resources Manager leads all strategic and operational HR functions. This role oversees recruiting and staffing, performance management, training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, payroll, safety coordination, and employee support.
The HR Manager ensures HR practices align with company goals while fostering a safe, compliant, and productive workplace. This position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, attention to detail, urgency, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, engagement, retention, performance management, and offboarding
- Develop and implement retention, training, and performance management programs
- Maintain job descriptions and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and documentation
- Administer payroll, compensation strategy, benefits, renewals, salary reviews, and market analysis
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and accommodations
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and process improvements
- Collaborate with leadership on budgets, forecasts, workforce planning, and HR strategy
- Communicate company policies, initiatives, and changes across departments
- Support workplace safety efforts, emergency response planning, and crisis management
- Oversee HR operations, organizational charts, employee records, and internal communications
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support to leadership and staff
- Promote positive employee morale and represent the organization professionally
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum three years of HR management experience preferred; manufacturing or heavy equipment experience strongly preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Experience leading initiatives in compensation, performance management, and employee development
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to quickly learn HRIS and related systems
- Ability to lead during emergency situations
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and computer use
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform occasional physical tasks (stooping, kneeling, reaching)
- Exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, dust, temperature variations, and machinery
- Occasional use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, steel‑toe boots)
- Exposure to industrial equipment, forklift traffic, and heavy machinery
