Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, highly analytical, organized, passionate, and people-focused Senior HR Manager looking to make an immediate impact and grow along with us. This role will work alongside the company’s leadership to support overall HR Operations. The right candidate will be one excited to streamline payroll and HR processes, while enhancing our culture as we continue to expand.

The ideal candidate has a strong HRBP background, extensive employee relations experience, proven HRIS integration and operational knowledge, and thrives in dynamic environments where judgment, emotional intelligence, and nuance matter just as much as technical HR expertise. This is a “Department of One” and the successful candidate will oversee the administration of hiring, retention, termination, records, legal compliance, compensation, benefits, and payroll.

Responsibilities include develop and administration of personnel rules and regulations, pay and job classification structure, safety administration and training, and weekly / biweekly payroll.

Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Partnership
  • Lead and execute HR strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Partner with all levels of employees from management to production / hospitality
  • Drive people initiatives that accelerate business objectives including compensation / performance standards
Employee Experience & Culture
  • Lead full employee lifecycle support: onboarding, engagement, performance, and offboarding
  • Build strong relationships which foster trust and productivity
  • Administer the company HR system to ensure it is meeting company, HR, and Team member requirement and experience. To include implementation of new platforms, training of users and ensuring platform meets organization needs.
Payroll Administration
  • Handle a weekly / biweekly payroll processing for the organization.
  • Process compliance requests which include garnishment, unemployment, and federal / state requirements.
Employee Relations
  • Handle complex and sensitive ER matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and coaching
  • Navigate situations where there is no clear rulebook answer—using judgment and discretion
  • Provide guidance on corrective actions, performance issues, and policy interpretation
Compliance, LOA, & HR Legal Fundamentals
  • Administer LOA, FMLA, ADA and partner with internal teams on accommodations
  • Lead compliance-based leadership training for managers
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies
  • Manage the safety program and ensure compliance across the organization
People Operations Support
  • Oversees benefits for the organization – including negotiations with vendors; open enrollment and new hire benefits to termination, ACA Reporting and COBRA management.
  • Support HR processes, documentation, and policy implementation across all departments
  • Lead HR analytics, reporting, and compliance audits
  • Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong executive presence always
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources or equivalent; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience with payroll, compensation & benefits practices, performance management, and employee relations procedures.
  • Experience working as a sole contributor in an HR Role.
  • Proven experience with managing the HRIS systems and have system implementation skills. Ideally Paycom, or UKG Ready experience.
  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office package. Ability to create documentation to support job requirements.
  • Deep experience in employee relations, investigations, and LOA and benefits administration
  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, and HR best practices
  • Self-starter; able to identify challenges, present and implement creative solutions.
  • Approachable, open, honest, and direct style; conviction to do the right thing no matter what.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, creative environments and handle evolving/ambiguous situations
