Akkodis is seeking a Vmware+ Windows Admin for a Contract with a client in Sparks, NV
. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience supporting Linux environments and VMware infrastructure in 24×7 production settings.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Vmware+ Windows AdminJob Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and support VMware environments hosting Linux and Windows virtual machines, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform Linux system administration tasks (RHEL, Ubuntu), including system tuning, patching, file system management, and security hardening.
- Lead expert‑level troubleshooting for P1 production incidents during MIM calls, utilizing packet capture tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Manage and support enterprise backup and storage solutions (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, SAN/NAS), including performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Support 24×7 production operations with strict SLA requirements, resolving issues related to networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, FTP).
- Provide on‑demand support in factory and data center environments, including racking, stacking, cabling, and infrastructure coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 6–10+ years of experience in VMware, Windows, and Linux system administration within enterprise production environments.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in VMware administration supporting Linux VMs, with proven experience in P1 incident management, performance tuning, and packet‑level troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise backup and storage technologies (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, SAN/NAS) and the ability to support 24×7 factory and data center operations, including on‑demand infrastructure support.
$53.00 to $60.00 per hour.
