AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep our customers’ cloud services running smoothly. We are hiring an Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician for our growing infrastructure operations team. The role involves working independently in a dynamic environment to support the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks, and to develop innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
Success in this role requires technical aptitude, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively deal with a variety of people. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, initiative, judgment, and diplomacy are essential. You must also be willing to work both independently and as part of a team, prioritize work, stay organized, communicate clearly, and react quickly.
Physical Requirements- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7, participating in primary responder rotation and providing after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments.
- Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
This role supports a new data center in development and construction. You may be assigned to a facility still under construction and will be required to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites during the transition period. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are required; company transportation is not provided.

Key Responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment.
- Ensure proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
- Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a technical or vocational role such as computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations.
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
- Experience with best practices and methodologies for cabling infrastructure.
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).

The starting pay for this position is $27.00–$47.00 USD per hour (USA, NV, Sparks). Final starting pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and location.
