Overview
AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network. You will be the onsite escalation point from partner teams and will lead and provide technical training as needed.

Responsibilities- Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
- Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment
- Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver s license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.
A Day in the Life- Provide the first level networking devices to serve customer racks, track network rack intake and delivery, coordinate with onsite teams for rack space, power, and cooling, and work with network engineers to ensure configurations are ready
- Work on link and device troubleshooting within defined service level agreements
- Support console builds and room builds to provide space and capacity for customer racks
- Collaborate with
-Scaling peers to build higher-level networking devices
- 2+ years of experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
- Knowledge of network design, protocols and troubleshooting
- Experience conducting behavioral interviews and hiring
- Experience with data center operations: inventory management, hot/cold aisles, security
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and working under pressure
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
- Data center industry standard certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., VFLs, OTDR and power meters)
- Knowledge of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
