AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. • Installation of routers, switches and DWDM hardware.
• Assist in troubleshooting fiber optic and copper cabling.
• Create colocation remote hand requests for new capacity installations.
• Support project leads to deliver network capacity projects.
• Help to resolve data center and facility issues.
• Support small to mid‑size network deployment projects.
• Building relationships with internal and partner teams.
• Participate in site audits to ensure safety and quality meets AWS standards.
• Providing status updates to stakeholders via internal tools.

Physical requirements:

this position has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 40 lbs; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines. The role may involve up to 50% travel, primarily local but may include domestic and international travel.

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

The starting pay for this position is 27.00 – 48.00 USD hourly (USA, TX, Wharton).
