What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a motivated Just-In-Time Coordinator (JIT) Coordinator to support inbound material flow, cross-border logistics, and line-side material availability for production operations. This role is critical in ensuring the right material arrives at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the correct point of use, with a strong focus on U.S./Canada/Mexico cross border execution. The ideal candidate will combine logistics coordination, customs process awareness, and strong execution mindset to maintain uninterrupted material flow and support Just-In-Time (JIT) operations.

What You'll Do

* Coordinate inbound material flow from suppliers across U.S./Canada/Mexico border, ensuring on-time delivery to production and monitor shipment status, customs clearance, and material release timing to maintain visibility across the supply chain

* Support inventory tracking and material availability for production lines and support execution of JIT principles, ensuring material arrives aligned with production needs

* Act as a liaison between suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, and internal teams (Production, Logistics, NPI)

* Track and manage critical parts (AA / AB) to prevent production disruptions

* Assist in resolving issues related to: delayed shipments, customs holds, incorrect or missing material and escalate risks proactively to avoid line impact

* Maintain accurate data and tracking tools (Excel or internal systems) for inbound visibility

* Support development and execution of PFEP (Plan for Every Part) where required

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience

* Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or international trade operations

* Basic understanding of cross border processes (customs, import/export, or freight coordination)

* Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work in fast paced, execution driven environments and proficiency in Excel (basic data tracking and reporting)

* Exposure to U.S./Canada/Mexico cross-border logistics operations

* Familiarity with customs systems (ABI, ACS, or similar) and knowledge of Knowledge of JIT, Lean Manufacturing, or Material Flow concepts

* Bilingual:
English and Spanish with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and conversation is preferred
