Site Logistics Technician

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. This role works on the most challenging problems impacting the supply chain, collaborating with a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

The Site Logistics Technician reviews data center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain appropriate stock levels across all locations to support build and repair activities.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

• Stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Assist in loading and unloading shipments.
• Occasionally exposed to cold or hot weather.
• Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
• Temperatures can vary between 60 and 90 degrees, occasionally exceeding 90 degrees.
• Move or lift loads of up to 39 pounds and carry them for short distances.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs).
• Regularly walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
• Push or pull heavy objects into position.

• Data entry on a computer and resolve questions from peer organizations.
• Ensure that all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing.
• Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
• Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
• Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
• Understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers.

Location:

Sparks, NV, USA – hourly rate $26.00 to $47.00.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of logistics or other relevant experience.
• 1+ year of experience in shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices.

• Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
• Warehouse Management Software / Inventory Management Software proficiency.
• Familiar with waybills and shipping procedures with transport companies.
• Ability to manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
