Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to support one of our largest data center clients. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical trade school education in mechanical, electrical, or electronics. Preferred certifications include OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, NFPA-70E (Arc Flash), and Data Center University. The technician must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field and be proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Key responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems supporting the servers within the data center, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with vendors and contractors.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC (commercial or residential), Data Centers, or Low voltage technician
• Proficiency with multimeters
• Experience installing HVAC systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems
• Experience handling service calls
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, including:
• Electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switch gear
• UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units
• Breakers, batteries, load bank connections

Compensation:

$26.00/hr to $28.00/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
