Facilities Maintenance Hazardous Waste Technician

The Maintenance Support Technician will report directly to the Mx Projects Supervisor, responsible for maintenance support, cleaning, collection, and safe management of hazardous waste materials at our GFNV facility.

• Perform general and emergency maintenance of facility equipment, and maintain mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing, and process systems.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, including scheduled calibrations.
• Clean, collect, and consolidate hazardous waste containers generated by facility equipment.
• Support all maintenance cleaning jobs (e.g., sump, trench, station lists).
• Coordinate with hazardous waste for loading and labeling of containers for disposal.
• Maintain compliance with Tesla hazardous waste requirements; load/unload materials using material handling equipment.
• Provide on‑call coverage for weekends, overtime, or training as needed.

• 3+ years of experience in high‑tech or manufacturing operations; HAZWOPER and RCRA generator training are plus.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and interface with cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to operate forklifts and carts.
• Extensive safety training; capability to develop procedures and ensure worker safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk 8 hours, lift up to 20 lbs, perform repetitive motions, and climb ladders or stairs.
