Cascades of the Sierra (independent living, assisted living, memory care) provides care for residents and their families all over the region, including Sparks, Reno, Incline Village, Carson City, and Truckee.

As a Maintenance Associate (Plant Operations), you are responsible for ensuring that the community is attractive and well-maintained and safe for our residents and staff.

• Possible scheduling includes four 10‑hour shifts.

• Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and building.
• Knowledge of fire and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with outside vendors and monitor their work.
• Experience in safe electrical and plumbing repair.
• Innovative thinker who brings new ideas to the table.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ownership attitude who can stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day.

• Make a significant contribution to the quality of life of our residents by maintaining the highest possible quality and consistency.
• Demonstrate organizational skills around time management.
• Be willing and able to adapt to changing demands of the maintenance department and fulfill any job that is required.
• Be available and on call for emergencies day and night; demonstrate organizational skills around time management.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of interior and exterior of buildings and equipment.
• Make repairs in occupied apartments, as well as repaint and shampoo carpets in turnover units.
• Actively participate as a member of a team and be committed to working toward team goals.
• Promote the mission, values and beliefs of Cascade Living.

$20.00 - $22.00/hour (depending on experience)

• Full Time
• Monday – Friday
• 11:00 am – 7:30 pm
• Weekend availability may be required.
