Description
The Warehouse Supervisor responsibilities include leading a team to ensure correct storing of materials, picking of materials and quality of any shipped items to ensure the customer receives the orders correctly, following G10’s safety policies. The Warehouse Supervisor will have the ability to motivate and encourage a team, positively, while receiving directions and providing support to the Warehouse Manager with the goal of being able to run the warehouse, when needed.
KeyResult Area
- Oversees the daily workflow of the Receiving Department, schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
- Training of new employees, providing direction to the warehouse manager regarding team member growth, termination of employees and hiring of future employees.
- Provides the Warehouse Manager with support in conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Manage the time, attendance and performance for all Warehouse Associates with the support of the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources.
- Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
- Completes all required management reports.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with G10’s safety policies and procedures.
- The ability to effectively write reports to update the Warehouse Manager on the tracking of all purchase Orders and projection for future Purchase Orders
- Effectively problem solve issues that arise so that the warehouse associates can continue to be productive, ensuring Purchase Orders are received on time.
- Must be a team player and can lead others in a positive way.
- Any other duties as assigned
- Leadership abilities
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Ability to problem solve, and multi-task with attention to detail in a fast paced always changing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
Education / Experience
- High school GED Required, associate’s degree in related field (Preferred)
- 2 years warehouse experience with a steady progression in warehouse leadership roles.
