What To Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Material Handler that will report to the Metrology Lab Supervisor and will be responsible for the movement of materials (inbound/outbound) to support Metrology Lab operations. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in fast-paced environments. He/she must have the ability to work with and communicate with cross‑functional teams.
The successful candidate for this position takes pride in hands‑on and analytical abilities, organization skills and attention to detail.
- Pick, pull, and pack parts required for Metrology in‑process inspection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Identify and report discrepant materials or components both verbally and in writing to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area
- Perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, and reaching as required
- Follow specific sequences of steps in repetitive processes for extended periods, adhering to standardized work instructions
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and issues effectively to peers and leaders
- Support specialized shipping procedures (Ad Hoc) for other Tesla facilities, external vendors, and suppliers
- Strong alignment with Tesla's mission and values, with a commitment to quality and reliability
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is strongly preferred
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive tasks, and work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Experience with high MOS/MFS standards and multiple PIT certifications (e.g., sit‑down forklift and walkie rider)
- Capability to perform duties involving stairs and standing for long periods of time
