JOB TITLE
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITYReview and understand the manufacturing process in detail to minimize inefficiencies, maximize workflow, and achieve targeted cost saving goals. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with several cross functional teams to achieve these goals. All projects and initiatives must be data driven and oriented with company goals.

- Highly technical understanding of all major equipment including operation and function
- Eliminate waste/inefficiencies through process improvement
- Create standard work for preventative maintenance processes (work with OEM and other sources to determine appropriate PM tasks)
- Work closely with Sales Engineers to ensure ease of manufacturability
- Evaluate workflow and make modifications to improve cycle time and eliminate waste
- Lead automation initiatives including equipment sourcing, ROI, implementation plans, and marketability
- Emphasis on change over reduction
- Develop work instructions for level 1,2,3 operators
- Design and implement fixtures
- Perform cost-benefit analysis
- Assist with new equipment purchasing, installation and startup operation
- Assess NCR and quality issues to determine root cause and counter measure (RCCM)
- Communicate with area supervisors and leads to implement new processes
- Lead and assist with Kaizen events
- Report out improvements and project pipeline projections
- Track and chart data as needed
- Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentation
- Participate actively and positively in Lean activities
- Willing to collaborate with hourly and management level employees
- All other duties as assigned

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF POSITIONFollow all OSHA safety regulations and those set by Future Form Manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION Essential- Strong math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
- Strong ability to read drawings
- Strong flat pattern layout ability
- Strong creative skills – ability to see beyond the immediate application of a program or assignment
- Ability to understand detailed verbal instructions
- Ability to deal with multiple and changing scheduling priorities
- Strong knowledge of punching and forming formulas
- Good CNC machine and computer knowledge
- Good verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation capabilities
- Good visualization - ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged
- Ability to analyze, compare and interpret detailed information and make sound judgements based upon that knowledge

- Minimum one year estimating experience in a production environment or other acceptable combination of experience
- High school graduate plus relevant vocational training (e.g., mathematics, blueprint reading, computer courses, metalworking, drafting)
- Experience in CNC machine operation

Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Must have normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).
Working EnvironmentShop environment. Moderate noise level. Exposure to dust, heat and cold.
This position and will require drug testing per policy.
