Forklift operator/material handler

Shift: 7am - 3:30pm
Pay: $18.00
Job involves using forklifts and other equipment to load, unload, move, and store materials within facility, inspecting shipments, maintaining equipment, and following all safety procedures. Key responsibilities include operating machinery safely, collaborating with other team member, and adapting to changes in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Steel toes required.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Material Handling:
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, load, unload, and store various materials and goods.
Receiving & Shipping:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify contents, complete necessary paperwork for discrepancies, and prepare outgoing shipments according to procedures.
Inventory Management:
Organize, and maintain accurate records of inventory, ensuring proper storage and placement of products.
Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct daily pre- and post-operation inspections of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure they are in suitable working condition.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Operating Forklifts: Must be skilled in operating various types of material handling equipment.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, and pulling.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Dependability: A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
