What To Expect
As a Production Control (PC) Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role in the success of production at the Gigafactory Nevada. You will work primarily on the manufacturing floor and will be asked to work cross‑functionally, interfacing with engineering, planning, and production to ensure production goals are being met.
What You'll Do- Build a strong, motivated PC team capable of consistently managing raw material and finished goods inventory.
- Ensure efficient, timely raw material replenishment to meet aggressive production targets.
- Empower the PC team to collaborate with production to improve consumption processes, ensuring replenishment programs remain successful.
- Support issue resolution including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking surrounding accuracy, latency and PIT management.
- Ensure adherence to all PC processes as outlined in the Standardized Work Instructions and provide necessary training and support for team members.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to promote best practices across PCT.
- Ensure EHS assurance, including current safety training, incident documentation, hazard correction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience managing Materials teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment with evidence of positively impacting Material Flow processes.
- Experience in selecting, developing, and training new team members.
- Ability to work with and develop Material Flow performance metrics, including efficiency, quality, safety, accuracy, and cost.
- Capable of working well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
- Strong working relationships with key PC stakeholders and clear communication in written and verbal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
