Position: Production Supervisor, Top Cap - Days

Overview

This position is a Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing the daily planning and execution of manufacturing and production activities in a high‑speed, automated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Shift: Days – C Shift | Department:
Top Cap.

Manages manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce quality products at minimal cost.

  • Directly supervises employees in the production process.
  • Adheres to organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Conducts hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, and addressing employee complaints.
  • Achieves and monitors key performance indicators (Safety, Financial, Production, Quality, Manpower).
  • Creates precise end-of-shift reports, root‑cause analysis documents, and headcount reports.
  • Monitors safety compliance and investigates incidents, initiating corrective actions.
  • Performs 5‑WHY, 8‑D, fishbone, and 4M analyses.
  • Maintains quality product standards.
  • Tracks defect and material loss trends, assigning corrective actions to support teams.
  • Controls consumable expenses such as supplies and tools.
  • Monitors machine downtime, escalations, and recoveries in real time.
  • Coordinates cross‑functional activities with other supervisors.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical failures and escalates to appropriate support teams.
  • Leads Kaizen events to improve machine/production conditions.
  • Supports Battery Engineering, Production Engineering, and Quality Control projects.
  • Reviews PSI/line performance and schedules daily asset care.
  • Revises or establishes new work procedures (SOP).
  • Manages high‑volume shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Utilizes FIFO methodologies for consumption control.
  • Manages logistics processes such as shipping, receiving, and storage.
  • Understands integrated systems (SAP, MES, Oracle).
  • Recommends continuous improvement activities to reduce cost and improve quality.
  • Interprets company policies, ensuring safety and ISM compliance.
  • Consults with management or HR to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Provides regular performance feedback.
  • Completes semi‑annual reviews.
PPE Requirements
  • Wearing PPE is required; may include Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, hazmat suit with respirator.
Qualifications
  • High‑volume manufacturing experience strongly desired.
  • Experience in electric component, chemical manufacturing, or medical/pharmaceutical manufacturing a plus.
  • Experience with Lean and 5S systems hugely beneficial.
  • Excellent communicator with strong problem‑solving and people skills.
  • Working‑level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Education & Experience

Education

Required:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Preferred:
Technical School degree plus 2‑5 years supervisory experience in a high‑speed, automated manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience – Supervisory leadership in a manufacturing or production setting.
