Inventory Clerk
Job Summary:
The inventory clerk position records and maintains control of inventory across the facility while ensuring compliance with internal control procedures. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask in a high‑volume production environment, and proficiency in data entry and inventory management.
Shift: Days – C Shift
Department:
Maintenance
- Experience with inventory management and cycle counting
- Data entry of inventory receipts, transfers, production, and adjustments
- Verify clerical computations against physical stock counts, adjust errors, investigate discrepancies, and report findings
- Prepare reports such as inventory balance, safety stock calculations, demand rates, price lists, and shortages
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end physical inventories
- Communicate cross‑functionally to resolve issues
- Ensure all inventory, production, shipping, and receiving reports are generated and sent timely and accurately
- Perform weekly inventory reconciliations of spare parts
- Enter production into client system to announce new lot codes, track product lots used in production, and deduct inventory quantities of component products
- Assist other departments and/or clients with inventory‑related questions or requests
- Maintain/Order “other material” for production supplies
- Track cancelled and reduced POs for scrapping/recovery for payment on DOs
- Willing to work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Supervisor
- Wearing PPE such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, or a full hazmat suit with respirator as required
- High School Diploma or GED (Basic/Required)
- Associate’s Degree in Business (Preferred)
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Detail oriented
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Bilingual Japanese preferred
- Working‑level knowledge of the English language (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to create reports in MS Office
- Motivation of team members and ability to work in a high‑performing team environment; counsel and deliver performance appraisals to operators
- Safety‑conscientious attitude
- Can make safe, business‑minded, conscientious decisions when issues arise
