Responsibilities- Production Manager
- The Manager is the owner of the management of assigned production line(s), contributing leadership support to all facets of production and ensuring production goals are continually met.
- Transform raw materials, components, and parts into finished Lithium Ion batteries using various processes and methods.
- Implement production manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost, and delivery.
- Maximize and optimize production levels while driving operational excellence.
- Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders to strive for best-in-class products and business practices.
- Drive KPIs across assigned Manufacturing Operations and ensure projects are delivered with high quality standards within budget and deadlines.
- Inspire, motivate, and mentor staff to achieve excellence and grow the team.
- Align leadership style to Panasonic's Seven Core Principles: contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, and gratitude.
- Attend Management meetings and provide input on the status of production goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Wearing PPE may be required for health and safety, including equipment such as Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and respirator-equipped hazmat suit as appropriate.
- Basic/
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business - Preferred:
Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science (MS)
- Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including ability to explain and present technical information
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations
- Ability to influence change without direct authority
- Working-level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Minimum of 3+ years in high-speed/high-volume manufacturing with understanding of machine controls and instrumentation;
Lean Six Sigma and continuous process improvement experience; ERP transactional experience; 5S experience - Commitment to safety and an accident-free workplace
- Proven ability to lead a production team
- Ability to connect business expectations, KPIs, and daily roles
- Ability to drive Change Management
- Strong communication, self-direction, motivation, and goal orientation
- Recognition and reward of team members for behaviors aligned with core values
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis; commitment to continuous improvement
- Contributes to group efforts with new ideas and cooperation
- Willingness to work any shift in a 24x7 operation
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing requirements
- MS Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Alignment to Panasonic's seven core principles
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
