Job Overview
A Plant Cylinder Inventory Coordinator at Airgas (Sparks, NV) will manage the accuracy of full/empty cylinder inventory, raw liquids, and maintain database records in SAP, ensuring adequate supplies and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Accurately maintain inventory of cylinders and raw liquids, balancing levels to meet demand without excess stock.
- Verify part numbers and cylinder specifications; update database regularly.
- Separate empties from full and in-use cylinders; count in and receive incoming cylinders.
- Collaborate with Distribution Supervisor to verify trip loads for delivery drivers.
- Maintain database with tickets, production data, cylinder movements, and raw material receipts in SAP daily.
- Place and process orders in system; document gas inventory usage.
- Ensure compliance with facility guidelines, procedures, and Airgas Standards and regulatory guidelines (SAFECOR, HS&E, CGMP, OSHA).
- Provide support during emergencies to maintain uninterrupted product supply.
- Conduct scheduled cylinder audits and inventory counts of empty cylinders.
- Monitor and receive cylinder gas deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Build alignment with inside sales team and plants to meet customer service requirements.
- Assist with reasonable work requests aligned with qualifications.
- Two to five years of related experience or equivalent education/experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, or inventory control.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with SAP or similar software systems preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills; experience with Google Products (Gmail, Sheets) recommended.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Well organized, creative problem solving, strong service orientation.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence and work independently and in a team.
- Physical ability to lift 50lb.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Hourly base pay range: $23.00–$26.00 per hour. Benefits start after 30 days of employment.
